Ariana Grande in Concert: That Voice Tho

Yes, the rumors are true — I saw Ariana Grande's Dangerous Woman Tour in Nashville last night and I'm here to talk about it!

First of all, I mainly wanted to attend this show for two reasons — Little Mix and Ariana's voice. I am a big fan of both of those things, and am exceedingly happy to say I was not disappointed on either count.

Let me just say that if you don't know Little Mix then you are seriously missing out, because these girls have some absolutely amazing bops (start with 'Black Magic') and their vocals are excellent. Before Ari's show, I saw them at a small radio concert where they performed acoustically, and all four ladies totally blew me away with their voices and group harmonies. Also just want to give a shoutout to Perrie Edwards for rocking a black leather newsboy cap, I want to be you. The girls' set during Ari's show was equally amazing, and I 100 percent want to be best friends with all of them.

Also, shoutout to Victoria Monet for holding it down with just a mic stand, a massive stage and a vocal track. Girlfriend's dance moves were serious fire and her tracks had me jamming, and I will for sure be giving her a listen ASAP.

As for Ari, I was really digging the aesthetic of her show and set, which was very simple and clean. The visual effects and costumes pulled from both vintage and modern influences, making for a very streamlined look that was super in-line with Ari's personal vibe. I also just need to take a minute to talk about her voice, because girlfriend is the real deal. Her vocals sound just as good as you would think live and honestly I thought I was listening to a recorded track several times because she was so on point, but then she hit some crazy amazing note and I knew I wasn't.

Hands down one of the coolest things about the show was during one of Ari's outfit changes when she had a clip of herself playing onscreen. Words like "strong," "ladylike" and "irreverent" flashed as she posed in a bomb blonde wig, with "Not asking for it" appearing prominently several times before the clip ended with the word "human." I absolutely love that she used the moment to make such a powerful statement, because someone with her influence can get people to listen.

And then she sang 'Dangerous Woman' for her encore and I lost my cool. Thx for a fun night, girl!

P.S. Just watch this.
